Underground funicular pipeline inspection, Switzerland

From Nufenen to Grimsel serve 5 shafttransportinstallations for inspections, maintenance and service of the Transitgas pipes, which runs from Mailand to Rotterdam. The installations, built in early 70ties, have been completely renewed. The carrier layout, as well as the safety systems, were installed according to the applying regulations. Drive and Return Stations were completely revised and modifications to protect the units against the wet conditions were done.
